Overview

Associate(X86 system administration-Linux) is responsible for the maintenance and update of enterprise-wide Procedures/Standards/Baselines and etc. concerning Linux Systems, as well Middleware, Databases and etc. on Linux platform. Associate (X86 system administration-Linux) is also responsible for assisting designing, implementing, and maintaining the Linux systems, Middleware and databases on Linux platform to support the business functionality, business continuity. The Associate will also ensure the business systems are maintained and operated at maximum levels of productivity and efficiency based on aforementioned platforms and components.

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

Linux/Middleware/Database Administration

  • Maintain and update enterprise-wide Procedures/Standards/Baselines and etc. concerning Linux Systems, as well as Middleware, Databases and etc. on Linux platform.
  • Assist to design, implement and maintain the Linux systems, as well as Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform, undertaking following routine tasks:
    • Analyze and plan the capacity/resource requirements of Linux systems, Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform
    • Design and analyze schemes of Linux systems, Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform in accordance to defined Procedures/Standards/Baselines and specific business/application requirements.
    • Implement Linux systems, Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform based on the analysis, design, and defined Procedures/Standards/Baselines.
    • Maintain Linux systems, Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform to ensure the compliance, security, business functionality and continuity. Regular maintenance covers Performance Monitoring, Health-checking, Upgrading, Patching, Resource expanding and etc.
    • Implement DEV/TEST/Exercise Environments; Prepare DEV/Test/Exercise Data to support the application development, business testing; Exercises and etc. concerning Linux systems, Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform.
    • Plan and implement Contingence/Failover/Switch testing and etc. concerning Linux systems, as well as Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform.
    • Handle requests and issues from business/application departments concerning Linux systems, as well as Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform.

Security & Inventory Control

  • Maintain and update enterprise-wide inventories of Linux systems, Databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform.
  • Implement security patches/upgrades concerning Linux systems, databases, Middleware and etc. on Linux platform

Compliance

  • Understand, comply with, and monitor the activities, if necessary, of all applicable laws and regulation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 1 year of IT working experiences, such as System, Databases, Middleware, Network, VMware, etc.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Linux system, Databases, Middleware, Network, VMware, etc.
  • Cisco CCNP routing & switching certification, CCNP Voice/ Collaboration certification, Cisco CCIE certification highly preferred
  • Regulatory and compliance knowledge and financial/banking industry knowledge preferred

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $65,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
