Overview

The Legal Office Associate Attorney will provide assistance and support on various legal matters, perform legal document processing, drafting, and reviewing, and conduct legal issue research and analysis.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to: 

 

Legal Document Drafting, Review, & Negotiation

  • Conduct first round review and draft various day-to-day transactional contracts, vendor agreements, and other commercial legal documents
  • Assist in developing and implementing key legal risk parameters across commercial and vendor agreements
  • Strategically counsel various business departments on their planning, implementation, and legal risk assessments of commercial contracts
  • Administer all legal review requests received across the four branches

 

Legal Advisory

  • Assist legal review on commercial and banking transactions, including planning, structuring, documentation review and drafting, implementation, issue resolution, problem solving, and workouts
  • Advising on account agreements and principal transactions for the Bank and operational issue resolution
  • Conduct legal research, prepare legal opinions, and advise on general corporate governance and legal analysis with regards to compliance issues

 

Bank-wide Special Projects

  • Provide initial review and support to senior counsels in loan workout related tasks
  • Conduct first round legal analysis to support the departments in the development, drafting, implementation, and end-to-end process of bank-wide special projects

Qualifications

  • U.S. J.D. or LL.M degree required 
  • NY/CA/NJ/CT Bar required 
  • Minimum 3 years of legal expeprience requried 
  • Experience with legal drafting, research and writing 
  • Bilingual in Mandarin required  

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $42,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
