Overview

This position will establish organizational alignment, implement training programs, and serve as oversight over the Business Line – Data Privacy Coordinators, lead the implementation of the Data Privacy Program to include execution of Policies & Procedures, and the deliverables/roadmap across the Bank, etc.

 

Responsibilities

Policy & Procedures

  • Execute Policies and Procedures, and advise on changes

 

Data Privacy Oversight & Guidance

  • Provide guidance and oversight across the bank, and lead the Business line - Data Privacy Coordinators
  • Serve as an escalation channel for data privacy matters (e.g., Data breach)

 

Compliance

  • Monitor the bank’s adherence to data privacy related metrics 

 

Data Breach

  • Define and communicate the data privacy breach response plan

 

Supervisory Response

  • Coordinate with the offices of governmental agencies and supervisory authorities during any review of a data privacy matter against the organization

 

Training & Certification

  • Facilitate data privacy awareness trainings
  • Maintain the appropriate certification and training related to Data Privacy (CIPP)

 

Reporting 

  • Provide Quarterly Reporting into the Data Privacy Sub-Committee

 

Regulatory Awareness

  • Maintain contact with appropriate professional bodies related to data privacy

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required, Legal background preferred
  • At least 5 years of regulatory background with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data privacy
  • Knowledge of Data Privacy Regulations required
  • Data Privacy (CIPP) certification is highly preferred

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $65,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
