Overview

The AVP will assist the review on post credit approval process, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This role resides in credit risk management function and is responsible for reviewing approval condition, loan documentation and legal terms prior to disbursement.

Responsibilities

Pre-Disbursement Review

  • Assist the Team to perform responsibilities:
    • Review and analyze loan applications and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with lending policies
    • Document Verification: Ensure that all necessary documentation (loan agreements, collateral documentation, borrower identification) is complete and accurate
    • Credit Approval Confirmation: Verify that the loan has received all necessary credit approvals and adheres to internal lending policies
    • Policy Adherence: Confirm compliance with the bank’s internal policies and procedures related to lending and credit risk
    • Terms Verification: Review the loan agreement to ensure that all terms and conditions (interest rates, repayment schedules, covenants) are correctly captured and reflect what was approved
    • Conditions Precedent: Check that all conditions precedent to disbursement outlined in the loan agreement have been fulfilled (e.g., insurance coverage, completion of due diligence)
    • Collateral Requirements: Confirm that all necessary collateral pledged and appraised if applicable

Post Lending Monitoring and Collateral Management

  • Assist the Team to perform responsibilities:
    • Oversee the valuation of various types of collateral, including real estate, equipment, and financial assets, ensuring accurate and timely assessments
    • Implement robust processes for regular collateral reviews and adjustments based on market conditions
    • Monitor collateral performance and identify potential risks associated with collateralized loans
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive collateral database to track collateral values and related metrics
    • Prepare and present reports on collateral performance, risk exposure, and compliance to senior management
    • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement within the collateral management function
    • Regularly update the valuation of collateral based on ongoing assessments and market conditions, ensuring that the bank's risk exposure is accurately reflected

Credit Risk Governance and Reporting 

  • Prepare various credit risk reports and present to risk committees and senior management

  • Conduct accurate review of data collected and accurate input of information in the banking system

  • Analyze the cause of the changes, understand the changes and ensure process performed align with Bank’s policies and procedures

  • Develop and implement credit administration policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and minimize risk

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Law required
  • Minimum 4 years of work experience; among the 4 years, at least 2 years should be in at least one of the areas: Banking Accounting, Credit Officer, Credit Administration, Legal Assistant
  • Certified Paralegal/CPA/CFA/ is preferred
  • Accounting or legal knowledge is preferred

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $65,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
