Overview

The Data Management SVP will lead and manage the bank-wide data management program and drive improvement in the overall health and wellness of the Bank’s data. He / She will also focus on data innovation to enable the Bank to embrace new technology to enhance the Bank’s data maturity. This individual will also work closely with the Chief Data Officer to drive the expansion of Data Governance, Data Quality/Analytics, Data Movement Controls and Record Retention across the Organization.

Responsibilities

Execute Data Management Program Initiatives

  • Drive improvements to maximize value of data quality (e.g. drive changes to have access to required metadata to maximize impact of DQ, quantify the cost/impact of poor data quality)
  • Work with the department team leaders to enhance KPI’s and KRI’s across the department programs
  • Coordinate with ADC on technology innovation advancement with regard to data management tools and processes including data lineage and metadata
  • Work with the Data Quality Analytics team lead to maintain and enhance Data Visualization Dashboards

Data Management Team Leadership

  • Provide management oversight of the planning, development, and implementation of various projects and initiatives in support of the Chief Data Office Departments Strategic goals
  • Work with Chief Data Officer and team leaders to introduce tools and capabilities to enhance the Data Maturity across the branch
  • Work with other departments Data Analytics team to ensure consistent utilization of data
  • Convey an organizational data perspective, along with the Chief Data Officer, to ensure the Bank is using harmonized data
  • Provide guidance to functional area owners, IT leads and data stewards in resolving conflicts. i.e., choosing authoritative sources, business definitions, roles and responsibilities etc.

Chief Data Officer Back up

  • Serve as the backup for the Chief Data Officer in executing the Data Governance Strategic Plan
  • Work with the Chief Data Officer to lead and drive the cross-bank expansion of data management and data quality to include enhanced analytics, metrics and technology alignment which will include data flow mapping and lineage
  • Support Chief Data Officer in helping implement the Data Governance Reform program as requested from Head Office
  • Contribute toward the development and execution of education trainings and roadshows on CDO organization, processes, policies and standards across the enterprise
  • Augment and execute the data management strategy to ensure achievable and measureable milestones are mapped out for delivery and are effectively communicated

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree is preferred
  • 12+ years of work experience in data management and data governance
  • 5+ years of work experience in a leadership role; 3-5 years of work experience in a content-centric/data-centric role
  • Knowledge in Data governance, data quality, data management, data standards, data structures, data aggregation
  • Strong experience in data quality: DQ value, DQ processes and approach, DQ tools
  • Strong experience in data related activities (data governance, metadata, data management, data standards, data structures, data aggregation, business requirements)
  • Strong analytical, strategic, project management, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $150,000.00 - USD $280,000.00 /Yr.
