Overview

This position will be responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and producing development programs for customer/non-account customer relationships targeted toward non-China market/financial institutions.  

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Align the marketing objectives with the Bank’s business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, marketing strategy development, forecasting, marketing resource planning, and budgeting
  • Conduct effective marketing plan design, including marketing job roles, marketing channel design, and marketing resource deployment in line with the Bank’s overall risk governance frameworks and appetite
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives
  • Identify, develop and build relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring that all sales opportunities are acted upon
  • Cross-sell the Bank’s products and services to all financial institutions’ customers
  • Work with other departments to develop new products and services to meet the diversified needs of customers by strictly following the Bank’s established new product and compliance requirements
  • Ensure all sales materials and marketing presentations meet the legal, compliance and regulatory requirements, and obtain legal approvals on all materials and presentations before distribution
  • Organize seminars, conferences, presentations and other marketing events
  • Assist with the marketing events/visits by Head Office delegations

 

Relationship and Account Management

  • Manage relations with assigned customers to maintain existing business and seek potential business
  • Monitor customers’ account balance on an ongoing basis and prepare account balance trends
  • Review customers’ credit data and analyze financial ratio, spreadsheets, and cash flow worksheets to evaluate the riskiness in customer relationships
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and coordinate with other departments as needed
  • Identify costs and risks associated with accounts and prepare plans to mitigate such
  • Organize events, seminars, conferences, receptions and exhibitions to promote the Bank’s brand and business
  • Conduct market research, identify business trends that may impact the business, and prepare marketing materials in accordance with the Bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Manage accurate recordkeeping of assigned customers for up-to-date documentations
  • Conduct site visits to build relationship with clients and to fulfill due diligence requirements.

 

Compliance

  • Prescreen prospective customers for the purpose of AML/KYC and ensure the potential prospects meet the Bank’s risk appetite
  • Work with the compliance team on the AML/KYC process
  • Communicate with customers regarding specific transactions to implement the Bank’s AML/KYC policy and provide feedback to the customers as to their sufficiency
  • Implement the Bank’s strategy in meeting the HS and EPS

 

Strategic Projects

  • Develop strategies and lead the bank-wide coordination of tasks that are required to complete strategic projects

  • Develop strategies for effectively marketing strategic projects to potential clients

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of work experience in the banking/financial service required
  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration is required; Master's degree or above is preferred

  • Bilingual skills in English and Chinese language (both oral and written) required

  • Strong knowledge of banking products and services, regulatory and compliance, risk management and assessment, correspondent banking business, marketing, product management, relationship management, US-Chinese: economic and political relations is required

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $110,000.00 - USD $230,000.00 /Yr.
