Overview

This position is responsible for providing day-to-day marketing, business development, product promotion, business administrative, and underwriting support to Business Team 3 and the Los Angeles Branch. Key responsibilities include supporting business development initiatives, monitoring loan portfolio quality and post-lending activities, conducting credit risk analysis and recommending risk ratings, and performing other duties as assigned by the Team Lead and/or the Branch Management.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

Daily Administrative, Marketing, and Business Development Support (50%) 

  • Provide day-to-day administrative, marketing, and promotional support to Business Team 3 and Los Angeles Branch.
  • Support daily buisness operations, business development initiatives, and marketing activities.
  • Assist in implementing marketing plans, cooperdination with third-party vendors, and organizing client events.
  • Conduct initial client screenings to assess creditworthiness.
  • Prepare business reports and marketing activity reports in a timely manner.

Underwriting and Portfolio Management (30%)

  • Collect and spread financial statements for new and existing clients.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial analyses and stress tests to ensure proposed transactions comply with the Bank’s Creidt Policies, Procedures, and applicatable regulatory guidelines.
  • Prepare Credit Recommendation Reports under the supervision of the Team Lead for credit approval.
  • Assist Team Lead with loan closings, bookings, amendments, extensions, and renewals.
  • Support ongoing portfolio management by a) completing annual and quarterly loan reviews; b) monitoring customer – related news and developments; c) tracking customers’ quarterly and annual compliance requriements.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of initial creidt and loan documention files.
  • Monitor loan protfolio quality and post-lending activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requriements.

Risk Management and Quality Control (20%) 

  • Ensure all due diligence and background verification procedures are completed and approved prior to loan booking in accordance with the Bank’s policies and Branch guidelines.
  • Monitor the performance of problem loans inclduing Profit & Loss activities, and prepare related reporits.
  • Maitain current knowledge of the Bank’s Creidt Policies, Porcedures, regulatory requriements, and applicable compliance standards.
  • Perform compliance and risk management resposibilities as assigned by the Team Lead and/or the Branch Management.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Team Lead and/or the Branch Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Communication or Business Administration or Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related disciplines is required; a master degree is preferred.
  • 3 years of work experience in Marketing, business promotion, event planning in any industries, or credit underwriting, credit risk and portfolio management in the banking industry.
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to multi-task, adapt well to changing priorities, and effectively prioritize workflow to meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; good relationship management and development skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High degree of professionalism, quality work and attendance.
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese is a requirement.

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $42,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
