Overview

The individual will conduct independent banking industry research or quantitative economic data analysis and support the multifunction of the macro team including provide analysis on the US Banking industry and dynamics, economic and interest rate forecast. They will also deliver research reports and publications on the banking industry and macro economy and assist management in preparing presentations and research materials.

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

 

Banking Industry Research

  • Generate unique, thematic written banking industry research on a monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, and annual basis based on the research pipeline.
  • Help maintain existing products and contribute to the development of future research products.
  • Work closely with other teams to help run and develop analysis/metrics, such as the analysis of market events, peer group, banking strategies, future trends, and develop a possible pipeline for future research.
  • Interpret and comment on banking metrics of companies under the team’s coverage.

Macro Research

  • Use data to do the intermarket analysis; Conduct in-depth economic, market analysis on weekly basis.

Analytical Support

  • Help the team to complete qualitative and quantitative analysis. Use data to conduct the historic comparisons between the previous timeframes and the current timeframe.

Ad Hoc

  • Provide any other ad hoc research support for Strategy and Research Department or the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Economy required, Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Economy preferred.
  • For Associate level, minimum 3 years of Banking Research/Economic Data Analysis work experience required; for AVP level, minimum 4-5 years of Banking Research/Economic Data Analysis work experience required.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skill.

Pay Range

Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.

USD $42,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
